Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has this week opened up on the two players who most influenced his call to become a fan of Los Blancos.
Frontman Mbappé of course at last sealed his long-awaited move to Spain’s capital last summer.
After allowing his contract terms with Paris Saint-Germain to expire, the France international opted to take his talents to La Liga, linking up with Carlo Ancelotti’s reigning champions Real Madrid.
And, after something of a shaky start, Mbappé has since turned things around in nothing short of spectacular fashion.
All told, across 46 appearances in all competitions, the 26-year-old has directly contributed to 36 goals.
Early this week, Mbappé, in turn, sat down for an interview with La Sexta, during which the attacker was drawn on a whole host of topics surrounding his new club.
And one particular insight provided by Mbappé has since turned heads online, with the Frenchman having confirmed:
“I became a Real Madrid fan because of Zidane. Then Cristiano came… He’s my other big idol. I watched all their matches as a kid, and even as a player!”
