Paris Saint-Germain superstar and prime Real Madrid target Kylian Mbappé has denied having already come to a definitive agreement with the latter over a contract.
That’s according to French outlet RMC Sport (as cited by Mundo Deportivo), who have on Wednesday provided a fresh insight into the situation surrounding the 25-year-old.
The name of frontman Mbappé has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in not only Spain, but across all of Europe for several weeks now.
As much comes after the France international informed long-time club PSG of his decision not to renew his expiring terms in the summer.
Mbappé, in turn, has been locked in intense negotiations with La Liga leaders Real Madrid ever since.
In fact, a number of outlets have gone as far as to suggest that a definitive agreement has been reached between the parties, with all that remains to make as much official by way of a formal announcement.
As alluded to above, however, if the latest word stemming from the media today is anything to go by, then such reports appear to have jumped the gun.
This comes amid claims that Mbappé himself has denied a deal being put in place with the brass at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The prolific wide-man, for his part, sat down for a high-profile meal on Tuesday night, alongside the PSG brass, the emir of Qatar, and, most notably, French president Emmanuel Macron.
And, during the Elysée event between the parties, the subject of his future was inevitably put to Mbappé.
As per the aforementioned RMC Sport, however, when asked directly whether he has yet reached an agreement with Real Madrid, the former Monaco talent vehemently denied as much.
