Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has this weekend confirmed that he has already held several conversations with incoming Blancos head coach Xabi Alonso.
Ex-Real midfielder Alonso was of course the man chosen by those behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu to kickstart a new era at the club.
After Carlo Ancelotti was sent packing, the Spanish tactician, fresh off a brilliant stint on the bench at Bayer Leverkusen, was identified as the perfect fit by Florentino Pérez and co.
Alonso is yet to actually begin his coaching journey back in his home country, with the 43-year-old’s first training session set to take place on Monday.
As alluded to above, though, this has not stopped Alonso from making contact with some of those set to be at his disposal over the season ahead…
Drawn on the arrival of his new manager during a press conference whilst on international duty this weekend, Kylian Mbappé confirmed:
“I’ve already spoken to Xabi Alonso a few times and I’m really excited to have him as our coach.“
