Kieran Trippier will return to Atlético Madrid’s squad for this weekend’s Madrid derby with cross-city rivals Real Madrid.
The England international will be available for selection at the Wanda Metropolitano after serving a 10-week ban for betting offences.
Diego Simeone has greatly missed Trippier at right-back. In the eight LaLiga games since his ban was confirmed, Atlético have kept just one clean sheet, conceded 12 goals, and dropped seven points.
