ESPN report that Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho wants to return to the Premier League, according to his agent Kia Joorabchian.
Joorabchian has stated the former Liverpool player would also be willing to stay in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich, where he has spent this season on loan.
“He has a desire to come back to the Premier League at some point,” Joorabchian told Sky Sports. “It may not happen this year, it may happen this year, we don’t know. We really have not discussed anything for now.”
Bayern Munich have not activated their purchase option for Coutinho, however chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge did not close the door on the Brazilian.
“The option expired and we haven’t activated it. We’re going to plan our squad for next season and we’ll see if he still has a role to play with us or not.”
The 27-year-old has scored eight goals and provided six assists in 22 Bundesliga matches for Bayern this season.
