La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday evening been dealt a blow on the personnel front.
This comes after Joan García was forced into a premature departure from the club’s latest outing.
Barcelona are of course currently locked in action on the continent, in a Champions League meeting with Newcastle United.
As things stand late in proceedings in Catalunya’s capital, the Blaugrana lead by a hefty seven goals to two, firmly on course for a spot in the competition’s quarter-finals.
As alluded to above, though, an otherwise positive night’s work to date for Hansi Flick’s troops has been soured to at least some degree by an injury setback.
Late in proceedings at the Spotify Camp Nou, Joan García dropped to make a comfortable save in the Barcelona goal.
As the shot-stopper made his way towards the edge of the penalty area, however, he suddenly pulled up.
From here, Joan returned to ground, with what appeared to be a muscular problem.
The Spaniard was subsequently hooked from proceedings by Hansi Flick and his staff, ahead of an incoming round of medical tests over the days ahead.
