Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Monday, Carlo Ancelotti revealed that Karim Benzema will start for Real Madrid against Shakhtar Donetsk in Warsaw on Tuesday.
“Vini is one of the players I have to evaluate because he has played in every match. We have to evaluate him. Karim is fine and it’s clear that he’ll start tomorrow, like Kroos and Mendy, who are fresh and will play,” Ancelotti said in quotes picked up by Marca.
Benzema was rested for Los Blancos’ 1-0 win over Getafe on Saturday. The France international has four goals so far this season but has not found the back of the net since August 28 against Espanyol.
