Karim Benzema sends last-minute message to Real Madrid & Vinícius Jr. for Bayern showdown

Former Real Madrid star Karim Benzema has taken to social media on Wednesday evening, to send a message of encouragement to his ex-employers.

As much, of course, comes with Real currently in the process of preparing for the biggest outing of their season to date.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops will return to action in short order, when they welcome German heavyweights Bayern Munich to the Santiago Bernabéu, for the 2nd leg of the Champions League semi-final tie between the clubs.

The matchup currently sits on a knife-edge, after a 2-2 stalemate at the Allianz Arena last week.

And one individual who will be watching on closely as Real Madrid set about booking a place in yet another European final comes in the form of Karim Benzema.

Frontman Benzema of course boasts plenty of experience when it comes to major nights on the continent in Blancos colours, having racked up five Champions League titles across his spell in Spain’s capital.

And, taking to his official Instagram account late on Wednesday, the Al-Ittihad man made clear that his affinity for the capital giants has not at all faded since.

Unveiling a photo of one-time attacking partner-in-crime Vinícius Jr, Benzema attached a simple caption of:

‘Vamonos. N1 (no.1).’
