A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona is back on the transfer radar of those behind the scenes at Italian giants Juventus.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Ronald Araújo as the player in question.
Stopper Araújo of course saw his name take its place front and centre in the transfer chatter this past January.
As much came after the aforementioned Juventus set their sights firmly on the signature of the Uruguayan international.
At one point, it appeared as though a move to Turin was imminent, only for Araújo to endure a change of heart, before committing to a new long-term contract with Barcelona.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from Spain this week is anything to go by, then Juve, evidently, have not yet given up hope of landing the 26-year-old.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘Juventus would be willing to offer between €25 and 30 million for his signing. A significant amount for a player who has been relegated to the role of third centre-back after Pau Cubarsí and Iñigo Martínez.’
New Bianconeri boss Igor Tudor is understood to be behind the fresh push for Araújo’s signing, of the opinion that the South American would thrive in Serie A.
