Barcelona star Alejandro Balde has made his way into the sights of one of Italian football’s leading clubs with a view to the winter transfer window.
This comes amid the understanding that the board at Juventus have earmarked the defender as a potential mid-season loan addition.
Stopper Balde is for his part fresh off what has been a hugely challenging opening to the new campaign in Catalunya’s capital. Sitting behind both Xavi Espart and João Cancelo in the left-back pecking order in Hansi Flick’s squad, the 22-year-old has been afforded a grand total of just 12 minutes of playing time.
After a summer packed with speculation surrounding his future, Balde, in turn, has now been linked with a potential January move away from Barcelona.
As per a report from Diario Sport, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at left-back in Turin:
‘Juventus, a team that are looking for a left-footed specialist for January, have already sounded out the possibility of a loan.’
It remains to be seen if Barcelona are willing to sanction a temporary departure for Balde, but Hansi Flick, for one, is ‘open to an exit’.
