The agent of Atlético Madrid star Julián Alvarez has late this week spoken out regarding the ongoing speculation linking his client with a move away from the club.
The subject of frontman Alvarez’s future has of course long been a prominent one in the headlines across all of Spain.
This comes amid constant transfer links with top clubs in both La Liga and beyond.
In the face of Atlético Madrid’s ongoing inconsistencies, the Argentine is said to be eyeing an environment where he has a better chance of vying for silverware every season.
One such club to have been tipped as a potential landing spot, amid their ongoing search for a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, are Spanish champions Barcelona.
Speaking during an exchange with the media this week, it therefore came as little surprise when his client’s latest round of transfer links were put to Alvarez’s representative.
And, during an interview with Calciomercato (as cited by Mundo Deportivo), Fernando Hidalgo made use of the opportunity to assure that:
“Nothing that’s been written is true. It’s just fanciful speculation.”
