Atlético Madrid star Julián Alvarez has provided a fresh update on his future with the club.
This of course comes fresh off another stellar performance on the part of the Argentine in the colours of the Rojiblancos.
Atlético were back in action on the continent on Tuesday night, welcoming Tottenham Hotspur to Spain’s capital for a Champions League clash.
And en route to a 5-2 romp, the aforementioned Alvarez proved himself the star of the show.
The former Manchester City man was responsible for two goals and an assist, to take his tally for the campaign to 23 direct goal contributions.
Post-match at the Metropolitano, Alvarez was therefore pulled in for an interview with the media.
And during as much, amid the ongoing speculation surrounding his future, the attacker provided the following update on his plans beyond the summer:
“I don’t know. Maybe yes, maybe no (will I be at Atlético next season). I have nothing to say other than I’m happy. On social media, a lot of things get talked about, but it’s nothing. We’re very happy competing in all competitions, so everything is going very well.”
