Atlético Madrid star Julián Alvarez on Sunday continued to build on an impressive individual statistic. This came courtesy of his latest assist.
Diego Simeone’s troops are currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a La Liga showdown with Hansi Flick’s Barcelona.
As things stand at the Metropolitano, the hosts boast the advantage, owing to an early strike on the part of Giulione Simeone. After he had previously fluffed his lines in a one-on-one situation, the aforementioned Julián Alvarez teed up the goal courtesy of some fine individual work.
And as alluded to above, in the process, the Argentine extended his fine run of form against none other than the club who publicly sought out his signature over the summer.
