Julen Lopetegui has started his reign at Wolves after being sacked by Sevilla. In addition to other members of his staff that he has taken with him to England, the Spanish coach has also confirmed that his son Daniel will be working at the club as a performance analyst.
“Daniel Lopetegui, my son, and Fran Garagarza will help the scouting area with information to have the best information to sign players and sign future players from the youth academy and onwards,” Lopetegui told the English press in quotes reported by AS.
Lopetegui was also asked about an alleged clause regarding the possibility of terminating his contract in the event of relegation, but the Basque manager neither confirmed nor denied it: “I’m not thinking about relegation. I am thinking about winning the next game. This is the first thought, to be positive and all together. I prefer to be positive, not negative. I am very happy to be here for three years… well, I hope so.”
