Alessandro Del Piero’s son playing and scoring for Getafe

Tobias Del Piero made his debut for Getafe and scored his first goal for the Spanish club. Tobias is legendary Italian forward Alessandro Del Piero’s eldest son.

The 15-year-old plays for Getafe’s Cadete B side in the south of Madrid, where he arrived in the summer from the Juventus academy in Los Angeles. Cadete B is the second of the five teams that Getafe has in the club’s academy for players born in 2007 and 2008.

The teenage Del Piero decided he wanted a “change of scenery” and to continue his progression in Spain, accompanied by his father Alessandro, who has been in the Spanish capital for a few months.

Born in 2007, Tobias joined Getafe in August and has been training regularly ever since, always closely followed by his father, who is present at most of the training sessions, according to Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Some Madrid media had spoken of interest from Real Madrid, but it didn’t materialise and he joined Los Azulones, where he is hoping to continue his development.
