Jude Bellingham & Real Madrid stars involved in heated tunnel exchange with Valencia squad

A heated exchange took place between the respective squads at Real Madrid and Valencia during the half-time break of this evening’s La Liga meeting between the clubs.

This comes amid the understanding that stadium security was required to step in at Mestalla, owing to heavy taunting from the visitors’ players.

Real Madrid currently find themselves headed towards an 8th successive victory across all competitions. Owing to first-half strikes from Federico Valverde and Arda Güler, Los Blancos lead Valencia by two goals to nil.

As has long proven the case when they make the trip to Mestalla, José Mourinho’s squad was afforded a harsh reception by the home fans, culminating in tentions spilling over onto the pitch, too.

During his half-time interview, Los Che defender Pablo Maffeo, for one, exploded in an explicit rant against the referee.

And as much was followed in turn by things taking another turn for the worse in the players’ tunnel. As per a report from journalist Nacho Sanchis, amongst several other Spanish journalists in attendance at Mestalla:

‘There was trouble in the players’ tunnel. Rudiger, Bellingham and Militao taunted the Valencia players. The referee sent the Valencia players to the dressing room while they were complaining. The Madrid players went up to the Valencia players, got in their faces, and security had to step in.’
