Jude Bellingham makes Real Madrid history with UCL final start

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has on Saturday continued to etch his name into the storied history books of the club.

As much comes owing to his latest starting berth.

Real, of course, are currently locked in action, against Borussia Dortmund.

In the final fixture of the club campaign, Los Blancos have made the trip to Wembley, with a record-extending 15th Champions League title on the line.

The aforementioned Bellingham, amid what has proven a remarkable debut campaign, was afforded a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s XI in London, no doubt set to play a central role through the full-time whistle.

Regardless of his impact on proceedings, though, as alluded to above, the 20-year-old has secured for himself a special piece of history.

As revealed by statisticians Opta, Bellingham has become the third-youngest player to ever start a Champions League final in Real Madrid’s colours.

The only two to have managed as much at a lower age were club legends Iker Casillas, and Raúl.
