Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of teammate Thibaut Courtois.
This comes after the Belgian conjured up another top-class display in Los Blancos’ most recent outing.
Real Madrid were of course back in action over the weekend, locking horns with Mexican outfit Pachuca in a group stage clash at the Club World Cup.
When all was said and done, Xabi Alonso’s troops emerged on the right side of a 3-1 result, a much-needed victory following an opening day draw with Al-Hilal.
And the aforementioned Courtois played a leading role in as much.
After Raúl Asencio was shown a red card inside the opening 10 minutes of action, Real’s no.1 was forced into a far more prominent role than expected.
Safe to say, though, that Courtois answered the call, shining with a number of brilliant saves.
Speaking to the media in the game’s aftermath, teammate Jude Bellingham was in turn keen to lavish praise on the shot-stopper, going as far as to state:
”We want to keep Thibaut Courtois less busy next game, but that’s why he’s there because he’s the best goalkeeper in the world.”
