Jude Bellingham joins Real Madrid less than four years after Birmingham City debut

Jude Bellingham has been officially confirmed as a Real Madrid player after arriving from Borussia Dortmund on a six-year deal. The 19-year-old will be presented at Real Madrid City at noon tomorrow (Thursday).

At just 16 years of age, Bellingham became the youngest player in Birmingham City’s history. Bellingham made his debut in a Birmingham shirt on 6 August 2019. On that day, Spanish coach Pep Clotet played him in an English League Cup defeat to Portsmouth. He played 81 minutes and was only 16 years and 38 days old at the time.

He soon became a fully-fledged England international at the age of 17, and now, at 19, he has joined one of the biggest clubs in world football.

The box-to-box midfielder lit up the Bundesliga since making the switch to Dortmund back in 2020. Bellingham scored eight goals and registered four assists last campaign, as per the official Bundesliga website. The Englishman has become such a dependable midfielder for someone as young as he is and will be hoping to hit the ground running at the Bernabéu in 2023-24.
