Jude Bellingham gives Real Madrid star a new nickname after win over Atlético

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has taken to social media, to unveil a new nickname for teammate and midfield partner Federico Valverde.

This of course comes fresh off a night to remember for the Uruguayan on Thursday.

Xabi Alonso’s troops of course locked horns with city rivals Atlético yesterday evening, in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup.

And en route to an eventual 2-1 triumph, Valverde played a leading role.

The 27-year-old was responsible for both a goal and an assist, the former of which proved the highlight of the entire evening.

Inside the opening two minutes in Jeddah, Valverde drove a stunning free-kick from distance into the roof of the net.

It came as a trademark moment for a player who has long earned for himself a reputation as something of a long-range goalscoring specialist.

And as alluded to above, as much has since proven enough to earn for Valverde a new nickname.

Taking to his official Instagram account post-match, Jude Bellingham unveiled a photo of his teammate, accompanied by the caption:
