Droves of Real Madrid supporters have on Sunday evening exploded over the standard of refereeing in their side’s meeting with Celta Vigo.
This comes fresh off an evening to forget for Los Blancos all told.
Xabi Alonso’s troops were back in action a short time ago, playing host to Celta Vigo in a La Liga clash.
When all was said and done, however, Real Madrid were condemned to the wrong side of a shock 2-0 result, falling further off the pace of table-topping Barcelona in the process.
The capital outfit were some way off their best over the 90 minutes in Spain’s capital, struggling for fluency and overall motivation.
And yet, it is another aspect of this evening’s fixture which many of a Blancos persuasion have been keen to highlight post-match.
Real finished the night with just nine men on the pitch, following the dismissals of both Fran García, and Álvaro Carreras.
Manager Xabi Alonso was also shown a yellow card, as the game’s pivotal decisions went in favour of visitors Celta.
Real Madrid’s fanbase, in turn, have flooded to social media to make their anger known, with some having gone as far as to call for a full-scale investigation into the officating at the Bernabéu:
