Barcelona star Eric García has on Wednesday evening spoken out on his wellbeing.
This comes after the Spanish international set alarm bells sounding across the Blaugrana fanbase.
Barcelona of course marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming tournament holders Paris Saint-Germain to Catalunya’s capital for a Champions League clash.
The aforementioned Eric, meanwhile, was afforded a starting berth at the heart of Hansi Flick’s backline.
And en route to a disappointing 2-1 defeat, the former Girona man proved himself arguably Barca’s standout performer.
In turn, it came as a major source of concern for the hosts upon Eric going to ground in evident discomfort before being hauled off late on at Montjuïc.
Speaking to the media post-match, the stopper was in turn asked if he has picked up an injury.
Eric, though, was quick to quell such fears, in responding:
“Was I subbed off due to injury? No, no, I was just a bit fatigued, I felt a tightness in my hamstring.”
