Barcelona star Pedri has this week moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of teammate and midfield partner Frenkie de Jong.
This of course comes at the very height of the partnership between the two Blaugrana standouts.
Pedri and De Jong have long formed the base upon which Barcelona’s success has been built, nothing short of pivotal to the club’s domestic treble last time out.
Both are considered to be amongst the very best in world football in their respective roles.
Whilst the former so often receives the plaudits, though, De Jong’s consistent excellence can at times be overlooked.
Afforded the opportunity this week, Pedri therefore made sure to give his Blaugrana teammate his well-earned flowers.
Speaking during an interview with Marca, the Spanish international explained:
“We play together much more now than before, and it shows.
“Maybe from the outside you can’t see how good Frenkie is, but he has incredible quality and a lot of power to break through lines.
“I’m very happy to have him by my side.”
