New Real Madrid signing Franco Mastantuono on Thursday provided an insight into his first exchange with a leading member of Xabi Alonso’s squad.
The player in question? Jude Bellingham.
Thursday has of course been ‘Mastantuono Day’ in Spain’s capital.
This comes after the Argentine international, signed from River Plate earlier in the summer, was finally presented publicly as a Real Madrid player.
Mastantuono, in turn, took his place in front of the media, to field questions on a whole host of topics from his goals for the season ahead to the process which led to his transfer and beyond.
Another question, meanwhile, saw the 18-year-old asked whether he has yet met any of his new teammates in Los Blancos’ squad.
And Mastantuono went on to confirm that he has indeed crossed paths with Jude Bellingham, describing the Englishman as ‘incredible’:
“I’ve just met Jude Bellingham a few minutes ago. He welcomed me really well, he’s incredible.”
