Image: How far Lamine Yamal finished off Ousmane Dembélé in Ballon d’Or voting

A graphic showcasing the final results in the Ballon d’Or points standings has on Friday come to the fore online.

And the info backs what had previously been reported in the media: that Ousmane Dembélé emerged victorious by a wide margin.

The 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony of course took place this past Monday.

Heading into the evening, two clear frontrunners had long emerged, in the form of the aforementioned Dembélé and Lamine.

Despite a series of reports over the course of the day pointing towards the latter preparing to be crowned, when all was said and done, it was Dembélé who was named world football’s best for the prior 12 months.

And as alluded to above, the race was not exactly a close one, either…

Winner Dembélé amassed a total of 1,380 points through the voting process.

Lamine, meanwhile, racked up 1,059, followed by Vitinha (703), Mohamed Salah (657) and Raphinha (620).
