La Liga champions Barcelona could miss out on a potential summer signing, owing to the frosty relationship between the club’s board, and the representative of Marc-André ter Stegen.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Friday provided an insight into the situation.
Goalkeeper Ter Stegen has of course seen his name dominate the headlines in Catalunya’s capital for several weeks now.
Unfortunately for the German, however, as much comes for less than positive reasons.
Following the signing of Joan García, and the contract extension afforded to Wojciech Szczęsny, Ter Stegen is now considered surplus to requirements in Hansi Flick’s squad.
Barcelona are viewed as ready to part with their long-time no.1 at the earliest opportunity, with the club’s behaviour over recent weeks having left Ter Stegen far from impressed.
And as alluded to above, as much could have something of a knock-on effect on the Blaugrana’s efforts to add to their options out wide for next season.
Deco and co. recently added Atalanta star Ademola Lookman to their shortlist of attacking targets.
As revealed by Sport, however:
‘The big handicap is that Lookman shares a representation agency with Marc-André Ter Stegen and problems are coming with the goalkeeper.’
