How one Real Madrid star played a decisive role in JJ Gabriel transfer deal

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham played a key role in convincing Manchester United sensation JJ Gabriel to take his talents to Spain’s capital.

That’s according to TEAMtalk, who have this week provided an insight into the situation.

The name of youngster Gabriel has of course reemerged as a prominent one in the media headlines across Spain over the course of the week to date. This comes amid the widespread understanding that the 16-year-old has made the call to pen terms with Real Madrid.

After recently making public his decision to depart Manchester United at the earliest opportunity, Gabriel – considered one of football’s finest up-and-coming starlets – was immediately sought out by a number of the continent’s top clubs.

In the end, though, it was Real Madrid whose project proved most convincing, with the Englishman expected to link up with Los Blancos as soon as January.

And as alluded to above, this week, an insight into the role played by Jude Bellingham in convincing Gabriel of the merits of a Bernabéu switch has been provided.

As per a report from TEAMtalk:

‘Jude Bellingham’s camp spoke with Gabriel’s people and recommended the move to Madrid – talks which played a leading role in helping to convince the player. Bellingham’s involvement provided further encouragement, with the midfielder able to offer an insight into life at the Bernabéu and the opportunities available to young players within the club’s structure.’
