How much will Barcelona earn if they qualify for UCL semi-finals?

An insight into the financial reward awaiting La Liga giants Barcelona in the case of keeping their European campaign alive later this evening has been forthcoming online.

Barca, of course, are currently in the process of going through final preparations for something of a season-defining outing.

After making the trip to the Parc des Princes last week, Xavi’s troops are set to welcome French champions Paris Saint-Germain to Catalunya’s capital on Tuesday night.

This comes with a spot in the semi-finals of the Champions League on the line.

It is the Blaugrana who boast the advantage in the tie as things stand, owing to an impressive 3-2 triumph in Paris.

And, should they ultimately go on to see out the tie as victors, Barcelona will be in line for another altogether timely financial boost.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, to date, the reigning La Liga champions have secured €81.15 million for their participation in this season’s Champions League.

Advancing to the competition’s final-4, though, would see a further €12.5 million in UEFA bonuses brought in.

From here, Barca would look forward to an injection of €15.5 million for booking a spot in the final, and, lastly, €4.5 million in the case of securing the Champions League title.
