An insight into the financial outlay required by the board at La Liga giants Real Madrid to bring Nico Paz back to the club for next season has been forthcoming online.
Youngster Paz for his part of course sprung something of a surprise on his former employers in Spain’s capital this past summer. Afforded the chance to return to Real Madrid to test his talents as a more experienced and well-rounded player, the Argentine instead made the call to stay put in Italy.
After two years availing of the brilliance of the attacking midfielder, Como, in turn, splashed out a considerable €60 million to remove Real’s cut-price buyback clause from Paz’s contract.
As part of the agreement, though, Los Blancos secured a new, increased clause, set to come into effect in the summer of 2027.
And as alluded to above, this weekend, an insight into the value of as much has surfaced in the Spanish media. The info comes courtesy of Diario AS, who report:
‘Real Madrid retained an €80 million buy-back option for next year, as they do not want to lose control of the player.’
