How did Barcelona feel about Lamine Yamal’s controversial Real Madrid comments?

Those behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona were left less than impressed by the comments laid out by Lamine Yamal regarding Real Madrid in the buildup to Sunday’s El Clásico.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have confirmed that Real themselves were not the only ones left bemused by the 18-year-old’s insults.

Lamine for his part admitted during a public appearance late last week his feelings that Los Blancos continue to ‘steal and complain’ on a consistent basis.

As much sparked understandable widespread anger on the white half of the Clásico divide.

And Real Madrid were joined in their disappointment by those in the boardroom at the Camp Nou.

As confirmed by Sport, Barcelona ‘have not hidden’ the fact that they ‘did not like’ Lamine’s comments, considering them to have provided extra motivation to an opponent who hardly needed as much.

This was evidenced throughout a 90 minutes at the Santiago Bernabéu which saw the hosts dominate from both a physical and mental standpoint, en route to a 2-1 triumph.
