The first-team squad at La Liga giants Barcelona made use of a long-standing tradition to celebrate the birthday of attacker Marcus Rashford.
Frontman Rashford for his part turned 28 years old on Friday.
As generally proves the case for a professional footballer, though, the day for the most part proved to be just like any other.
Rashford was required to report for training this morning, joining the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad at the Ciutat Esportiva.
The England international was all smiles upon stepping out onto the grass, as spotted by the Barcelona social media team.
And from here, Rashford was subjected to a Blaugrana tradition, as his birthday was recognised by way of a trip through the ‘tunnel of slaps’:
Rashford will for his part be expected to feature from the off once again in two days’ time, when Barcelona mark their return to action.
A La Liga meeting with newly-promoted Elche lies in wait for a Barca outfit eyeing a return to winning ways following last weekend’s El Clásico disappointment.
