Highly-regarded Real Madrid youngster suffers ACL tear

A highly-regarded up-and-coming member of the youth ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Thursday been dealt a major injury blow.

The player in question? Dani Mesonero.

For those not familiar with his name, Mesonero, better known as Dani Meso, is an 18-year-old midfielder, who is currently plying his trade with Real Madrid Castilla.

The youngster generally lines out in an orthodox role in the middle of the park, but is also more than capable of taking to the pitch in an attack-minded central role, or on the right wing.

Mesonero, boasting a whole host of impressive technical traits, has long been considered a potential star in the making behind the scenes at Valdebebas.

In turn, it will no doubt mark a source of concern for all associated with Real Madrid to hear that, this week, the midfielder has picked up a serious injury.

As per a report from Jorge C Picon of Relevo:

‘Dani Mesonero, jewel of the Real Madrid youth team, tore his cruciate ligament yesterday.’

Mesonero’s 2024/25 campaign is now considered as being in serious doubt of being over.
