La Liga champions Barcelona have on Monday secured an agreement for their first signing of the January transfer window.

Defender Cancelo’s name has of course reemerged as a prominent one in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over recent weeks.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the Barcelona brass were considering a move to bring the Portuguese back to the club.
With Cancelo out of favour at parent club Al-Hilal, Deco and co, in turn, made the call to seek out a loan deal for their former full-back.
And as alluded to above, early this week, such efforts have borne fruit.
As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:
‘João Cancelo to Barcelona, here we go! Deal in place on loan until June. Exclusive story confirmed as Barça will pay €4m as loan coverage to Al Hilal, as revealed today.’
Cancelo turned down a move to another of his ex-clubs, in Inter Milan, to seal his Blaugrana comeback.
