Has Jules Koundé been registered to play for Barcelona?

Barcelona play against Manchester City at Camp Nou on Wednesday in a charity match to raise money for research into the fight against ALS.

Jules Koundé has been named in the starting eleven for Xavi’s side. The former Sevilla defender has not featured for the Blaugrana in La Liga this season as he is still waiting to be registered in LaLiga.

The Frenchman did, however, play in the Gamper Trophy against Pumas on 7 August and tonight, he will line up in defence with Sergi Roberto, Gerard Piqué and Jordi Alba.

Sergio Busquets will play in midfield alongside Frenkie de Jong and Franck Kessié while Raphinha, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ferran Torres start in attack.

Ter Stegen, Arnau Tenas, Araújo, Dest, Christensen, Eric García, Balde, Pjanic, Pedri, Gavi, Lewandowski, Dembélé, Ansu Fati and Depay are on the Barcelona bench.

Samuel Umtiti and Martin Braithwaite were absent from the 27-man squad announced this morning.
