A fresh insight into the financial terms of the contract signed by new Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Saturday been provided.
The info comes courtesy of German football insider Florian Plettenberg, and points towards Flick being in line to earn considerably more than first reported.
Upon the former Bayern Munich boss’ unveiling as Barca’s new headmaster being made official earlier this week, surprise reports surrounding his contract quickly followed in the Spanish media.
The reports in question pointed towards Flick as having agreed to an altogether modest salary, in the region of €3 million.

As per the aforementioned Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany:
‘There are many incorrect reports about his salary circulating. Understand, Flick’s salary at FC Barcelona is around €9-11m gross per year plus potential bonuses.’
