Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was left less than impressed with the performance put forth by defensive star Jules Koundé in the club’s latest outing.
This comes after the Frenchman continued his concerning recent stretch of individual form in the Blaugrana’s meeting with Club Brugge.
Koundé was for his part responsible for another performance to forget on Wednesday night.
Featuring from the off at right-back in Barca’s return to action on the continent, the former Sevilla standout struggled on both sides of the ball.
His most glaring mistake came early on, when Koundé was last to step forward in an attempt to play the offside trap, allowing Brugge to break in behind and open the scoring.
And the significance of as much was evidently not at all lost on the part of Hansi Flick.
As per a report from Fichajes, Barcelona’s headmaster was nothing short of ‘furious’ with Koundé in Belgium, ‘frustrated’ by the 26-year-old’s repeated lapses in concentration.
Flick does not yet appear ready to drop Koundé from his XI, but should the Frenchman’s performances continue along the same trend, his manager could ultimately be left with no choice.
