Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Saturday revealed his ‘disappointment’ with the recent behaviour of those in a position of power in the Spanish national team setup.
This, of course, comes after Blaugrana star Lamine Yamal picked up an injury whilst on international duty with La Roja.
Wide-man Lamine was forced to sit out training on Saturday morning, since ruled out of Barcelona’s upcoming meeting with Valencia, too.
This comes owing to what has been described by the Catalans as ‘discomfort in the pubic area’.
Lamine featured from the off in both of Spain’s fixtures over the course of the last week.
His 2nd appearance came as a surprise to many, after the 18-year-old was spotted clutching at his back both whilst on the pitch and the training ground.
In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of Hansi Flick making his frustrations with Luis de la Fuente and his staff very much known.
Drawn on Lamine’s situation during his latest pre-match press conference on Saturday, Flick vented:
“It’s a shame. He already left here in pain. They gave him painkillers and he played 73 and 79 minutes (against Bulgaria and Turkey). And between games, he didn’t train. That’s not taking care of the players. Spain has the best players and the best national team, but they haven’t taken care of the players and that’s all I can say. I’m very disappointed.”
