Hansi Flick sends warning message to Barcelona squad after Mallorca clash

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick sent a harsh message the way of his players on the back of their weekend meeting with RCD Mallorca.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in the Blaugrana’s squad.

Barcelona of course got the defence of their La Liga crown up and running on Saturday evening, in a meeting with Mallorca.

And though the Catalans ultimately emerged dominant victors, boss Flick was far from satisfied.

Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle at Son Moix, the German tactician admitted:

“I am not happy with the way we played the 2nd-half. My team played at 50% to 60%, and this is not acceptable against nine men. I need to speak to the players.”

And such concerns culminated in a clear message being sent the way of Barca’s stars in the dressing room post-match.

As per a report from Sport, Flick assured his players that:

‘You have won against an opponent with nine players, but there will not be the same luck if you face a top European team with this intensity.’
