Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has this week fired something of a warning the way of his players.
This of course comes fresh off a concerning recent stretch of form on the part of the Spanish champions.
Barcelona headed into the international break having been condemned to a first defeat of the season, followed in quick succession by a 2nd.
The former came at the hands of PSG, before an alarming 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Sevilla.
Across these outings, Barca, as a collective, were singled out for heavy criticism on the part of fans and the media alike.
As much came with the Blaugrana’s game having been lacking the trademark intensity and energy showcased en route to their domestic treble last season.
And one individual who appears to be abundantly aware of as much is manager Hansi Flick.
Speaking during his latest pre-match press conference on Friday, tactician Flick sent a message to his squad, explaining:
“We need to change our attitude. We are Barça, and the supporters deserve to see that we fight for every action. It’s not about remembering that we won three titles last year; this is a new season.”
