Hansi Flick responds to calls for a change in system after Barcelona 3-3 Club Brugge

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick appeared adamant that he will not be changing his tactical setup any time soon, on the back of the club’s latest outing.

This comes amid mounting calls across the Blaugrana fanbase for immediate action on the part of the German.

Barcelona are fresh off another outing to forget on the continent on Wednesday, after being held to a 3-3 draw by Belgian outfit Club Brugge.

The reigning Spanish champions were time and again cut wide open at the back over the course of the 90 minutes, as hosts Brugge took full advantage of Barca’s high defensive line.

Speaking to the media post-match, the possibility of changing his system in an effort to gain more solidity was therefore put to Hansi Flick.

Barcelona’s headmaster, however, was as stubborn as ever in assuring:

“We can talk about changing everything (system), but I’m not the kind of coach to do that. We want to play true to our DNA, not sit deep and win 1-0 on a counterattack. 3-3 isn’t the ideal result, but we came back after every goal, and that’s a positive sign.”
