Hansi Flick praises two Barcelona youngsters after friendly win

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was quick to praise two up-and-coming members of his squad, on the back of the club’s first pre-season fixture.

Barcelona were of course back in action a short time ago.

After flying out to Japan earlier this week, the Blaugrana locked horns with Vissel Kobe, in a friendly clash.

When all was said and done, the Spanish champions got their pre-season campaign up-and-running in positive fashion, courtesy of a 3-1 triumph.

Amongst the highlights on the day were the debut appearances afforded to summer signings Joan García, Marcus Rashford and Roony Bardghji.

Also handed their first-ever outings at senior level, meanwhile, were Barca academy talents Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández, and Jofre Torrents.

And after both impressed during the 2nd-half in Kobe, with Dro having even managed to round out the scoring courtesy of a fine strike, boss Hansi Flick was keen to reveal his appreciation for the two teenagers post-match:

“We have many players here from La Masia. Dro and Jofre performed very well!”
