Hansi Flick not convinced by highly-regarded Barcelona youngster

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is yet to be won over by one of the most highly thought of young talents on the books in Catalunya’s capital.

That’s according to Barca insider Gerard Romero, who points towards Héctor Fort as the player in question.

Full-back Fort, for his part, has long been considered a potential star in the making at Barcelona.

The Spaniard, still just 18, can play on both sides of the back-four, with his fleeting appearances at senior level last season having seen Fort thoroughly impress.

In turn, it has come as something of a surprise to see the Blaugrana, this week, widely tipped to bring in a new young right-back.

As confirmed by a host of sources across the media, Deco and co. have set their sights on the signing of Almería talent Marc Pubill.

Not only that, but, according to Jijantes, any such move would likely have implications for none other than the aforementioned Fort.

So, what has changed behind the scenes at the Camp Nou?

The key factor, it would appear, is the change on the bench…

As confirmed by Gerard Romero, speaking on his official Twitch platform on Thursday, Fort has not yet fully convinced new manager Hansi Flick of his talents, and in turn readiness to be a regular contributor.

It now remains to be seen whether as much could culminate in the young stopper’s fledgling Barcelona career being cut short before the summer is out.
