Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is keeping a watchful eye on the injury progress of an up-and-coming member of the club’s attacking ranks.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Dani Rodríguez as the player in question.
Wide-man Dani for his part took his place centre stage in things during the final weeks of Barcelona’s recently-completed campaign.
This came after the 19-year-old was drafted into the senior setup, before being afforded his first-team bow from the off in a la Liga meeting with Real Valladolid.
During the first-half, however, disaster struck.
Following a challenge in the hosts’ half at Zorrilla, Rodríguez was forced off, with what was later confirmed to be a shoulder dislocation.
The Spanish youth international, in turn, was forced under the knife to repair the problem.
Rodríguez will be unavailable for selection for Barca’s pre-season tour of Asia, one which, it is understood, Hansi Flick was ready to call the winger up for.
As alluded to above, though, Rodríguez need not fret.
As confirmed by Sport, the first-team coaching staff in Catalunya’s capital are keeping a close eye on the youngster’s injury progression.
This comes with a view to Rodríguez returning to first-team duties, potentially over the early weeks of the 2025/26 campaign.
