Hansi Flick issues harsh public response to Dro’s Barcelona exit: ‘The others, I don’t want’

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has this weekend issued a strong public response to the impending departure of youngster Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández from the club.

This comes amid the understanding that the attacking midfielder is on the verge of taking his talents to France, with Paris Saint-Germain.

Dro this week informed those in the boardroom at the Spotify Camp Nou of his intention to move on, in search of more regular senior playing time.

The news is said to have come as a heavy blow, with the 18-year-old widely considered a future star in the making.

Speaking to the media during his latest press conference on Saturday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of Dro’s looming exit was put to the aforementioned Hansi Flick.

And Barcelona’s headmaster did not hold back in his response, sniping:

“I want to say to La Masia’s players: We are Barça. Here you can grow, train with the best players, get full support. If you want to play at Barça, then 100% with your whole heart. You have to LIVE for Barça colours. All the others, I DO NOT WANT.”
