Barcelona’s defeat at the hands of arch rivals Real Madrid this past weekend has since been closely analysed by the club’s coaching staff.
And during their ongoing analysis sessions, two problems in particular have been highlighted time and time again.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who has confirmed that Hansi Flick and co. were left majorly concerned by the following pair of factors in El Clásico:
‘A lack of movement and clinical finishing in attack, and a lack of decisiveness in defense.’
Over the days and weeks ahead, a particular focus on amending these issues will therefore be kicked into gear at the Ciutat Esportiva.
There is also hope, though, that the return of some of Barca’s more high-profile players will culminate in an immediate uptick in performance level.
Against Real Madrid on Sunday, the Blaugrana took to the pitch without the likes of Joan García, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski.
