Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick recently sent a personal message of backing to a member of his attacking ranks.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Ferran Torres as the player in question.
The name of frontman Ferran has of course proven an altogether prominent one in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last couple of days.
This comes as calls have begun to spread for the Spanish international to be returned to his role as a backup.
Despite Ferran having notched three goal contributions in four appearances thus far this term, many of a Barcelona persuasion continue to actively criticize the former Manchester City man for the level of his performances.
After Robert Lewandowski emerged from the bench to net a brace against Valencia over the weekend, such supporters were in turn given fresh ammunition in their push for a change at centre-forward.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Ferran need not fret.
As per a report from Sport:
‘The ghosts of the past are behind him, and the player feels very important, as Hansi Flick has told him.’
