Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has moved to heap praise on a member of his midfield ranks, in the aftermath of the club’s latest outing.
The player in question? Fermín López.
Youngster Fermín is for his part of course fresh off an outing to remember on Tuesday evening.
Restored to Barcelona’s starting XI for a Champions League meeting with Greek heavyweights Olympiacos, the 22-year-old justified his inclusion, and then some.
En route to a 6-1 Blaugrana rout, Fermín proved himself the star of the show, courtesy of a fine hat-trick.
Speaking to the media in the aftermath of his side’s 2nd win on the spin, the subject of his midfield starlet’s talents was in turn put to Hansi Flick once more.
And Barca’s headmaster made use of the opportunity to hail a player whom he considers to be ‘different’:
“Fermín López has a lot of potential. We always wanted to keep him at the club. He’s different, dynamic… For us, he’s a very important player.”
