Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Saturday announced some timely positive fitness news in his squad.
This comes amid confirmation that both Robert Lewandowski and Dani Olmo will be available to face Elche this weekend.
Both striker Lewandowski and midfielder Olmo had been spotted back out on the grass at the Ciutat Esportiva over recent days.
This comes after the pair were forced to sit out last weekend’s El Clásico owing to respective hamstring and calf injuries.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, the subject of the two players’ status to face Elche tomorrow evening was in turn put to manager Hansi Flick.
This comes as Barcelona set sights on a much-needed return to winning ways.
And Flick’s response proved to be a positive one, as follows:
“We have recovered Lewandowski and Olmo, which is good news.”
It now remains to be seen whether either player is thrown straight back into a starting berth, with Lewandowski viewed as the more likely of the pair to play a prominent role against Elche.
