Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has this week provided an insight into the versatility boasted by a member of the club’s summer recruitment drive.
The player in question? Roony Bardghji.
Youngster Bardghji is for his part fresh off taking to the pitch in the colours of Barcelona for the latest occasion this past weekend.
En route to the Blaugrana securing a return to winning ways at the expense of Girona, the Swede was introduced to proceedings during the 2nd-half.
And in limited minutes, Bardghji again showcased clear signs of promise.
Amid the ongoing injury crisis in Barca’s frontline, it has in turn been suggested that the former Copenhagen man could be afforded a starting berth against Olympiacos in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
And as alluded to above, drawn on Bardghji’s name during his pre-match press conference, Hansi Flick made use of the opportunity to highlight the young winger’s versatility:
“Roony Bardghji? We can also consider him as a striker or attacking midfielder, whether he is on the bench or a starter. We are thinking about the starting lineup, but also about who will finish the match, and we are discussing the best options. It is not an easy decision at the moment.”
