Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has revealed that Lamine Yamal is yet to recover full fitness.
This of course comes with the 18-year-old continuing to deal with an ongoing case of pubalgia.
Lamine was back on the scoresheet a short time ago, as Barcelona welcomed Elche to Catalunya for a La Liga clash.
En route to a 3-1 triumph for the evening’s hosts, the Spanish international opened the scoring courtesy of a fine left-footed strike.
As much, however, came with Lamine still some way off his optimum level on the fitness front.
Drawn on the status of his young attacker following the full-time whistle on Sunday evening, Hansi Flick admitted:
“Lamine Yamal’s injury has to be managed. He has to train, follow the treatments, and he’s doing that. I can’t say the discomfort is completely gone yet.”
Though on target against Elche, many of a Barcelona persuasion were quick to highlight the fact that, once again, Lamine did not appear to be moving freely across the 90 minutes.
